Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

dismissal for harassment

My employer of 2yrs discharged me for verbal abuse of a fellow employee. I did not do or say anything to this employee and there are no witnesses to his claim. I have never had an issue at work with behavior attendance etc. My former boss told me he thought I was going to leave and he wanted to beat me to the punch as well as I worked for a car dealer and bought a car from the competition. I have appealed an initial denial of unemployment but I have never been in a position to be judged or fired based on a groudless accusation, what can I do?
