Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Was disqualified from a civil service law enforcement job on psychological grounds. Am I allowed to see the records and outcomes of the commission.They were released to my own psychologist but he made it seem like I'm not allowed to see them. One lawyer told me that I was absolutely allowed to obtain them. Thank you
