Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Employee/Employer relationship.

I recorded a phone call of myself and the company supervisior in charge of hiring. In this call he states; I was choosen, was qualified, and confermed for the job. Before I could report for work my medicial disibility was brought to his attention. At this point he fired me. I filed a compliant with the EEOC at the NY office they thought it was worth folling up but in 1998 it was transfered to the Boston office due to heavy work load. I was reasently informed that " There is no employee/employer relationship."

What is this and why not?

Re: Employee/Employer relationship.

New York is probably right. Boston is probably

wrong. Need more details. Sounds violative of

local and state law as well. Perfectly legal to

tape one side of your conversation in New York,

provided your attorney did not suggest it; even then it is legal but (s)he will get in trouble with the ethics people.
