Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

My employer demoted me because she said that people were intimidated by me. When they trained me for the position of Purser, I used to work for an airline, they told me that if they were a new flight attendant that they would be afraid of me. I asked them why and they said that it was just something about me. They said I should work on it, but they have never given me any tools to do so. I have a strong personality, some say, don't know how to correct that. Now, four years later, they said that they had complaints against me and demoted me, I told them that I would not accept a demotion. They told me that I have no choice, so regretfully I quit. This is the situation in a nutshell. My ultimate question is , Can I sue?

There does not appear to be a claim that is addressable in a court of law. New York is an "employment at will" jurisdiction. This means that your employer may terminate or demote you for cause or no cause as long as it it not for an unlawful discriminatory reason (e.g. race, sex, gender, nationality, age or disability).
