Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Is there anything i can do when an employer lies to the Unemployment office abou

The company i was working for told the unemployment office that i was terminated due to the attendance policy, and also said that i was aware of the situation, by oral and written warnings. I was never informed through either situation. The assistant manager told me the day i called in to work that if i didn't come back into work without a doctors note, that i shouldn't bother showing back up. When she wrote a letter to the unemployment office, she said she never told me that. If they had given me a write up, i would have had to sign it. I never signed anything other then the day that i was hired. Is there anything i can do about what they are saying??

Ask for a hearing with the Unemployment Insuance Board. It will be before an Administrative Judge, bring in whatever proof you have. The unemployment office can help you set up the hearing
