Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
My employer refuses to provide me with a lunch break. I work an 11 hour day, 7 am-6pm with no scheduled breaks. I am allowed to eat a lunch at my desk while I work or take a break if I have a client cancels, which rarely happens. Management has reimbursed me the cost of ordering lunch in the past but has recently stopped that practice. This has been ongoing for 14 years and I am tired of it.
Do I have legal recourse?

The FLSA protects you against overtime abuses and break pay by employers. From what you have described, it appears that you may be entitled to subsantial damages and attorneys fees. For a more detailed, complimentary review of your case, please contact my office through FLSAattorney.com or [email protected]. Please provide your name and contact information in your response.
