Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

employer threating to let me go because

i have a disk problem, and my employer wants my doctor to tell him if i will get hurt in the future i am able to work, he stated that it may be better to leave.. i know my doctor cannot predict if i may get hurt in the future if he forces me to quit or fires me do i have any legal ground

Perhaps you may want to consider asking your employer for "a reasonal accomodation" such as a reassignment to a job that is less likely to casue you an injury. You may also want to tell him or her that you may be considered as a person with a diability according to the Americans with Diabilities Act.
