I am leaving my company for a new job. I have 3weeks of unused vacation and 15 sick days accumulated. Is my employer required to pay me for my unused time upon my departure?

This is a subject of negotiation, but if it is not mentioned as company policy, not part of an employment contract and not subject to collective bargaining, there is no obligation to pay you for time you did not work.
