As a limousine driver, am I responsible for damages on the car in the course of my duties?

Depends on your contract with the owner. If you do not have a written contract then that may be in your favor. It seems his insurance company should pay but he may seek damages for deductable from you. If there is not contract agreeing to such you have a good shot.
