i was fired from my job.on my last paychec my boss wrote"by depositing this check i hereby accept payment in full"
is this legal and can i protest the contract?
i need the money.

Were you an employee or were you a contractor? It is not clear from these facts. Your status will determine the answer. In general, however, if you are an employee your employer cannot force you to waive certain rights in order to receive pay for work you have already performed.
