Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I was fired

I am a manager with a major company - or was. One of the things I liked to do was play practical jokes on people. I think I went too far last week...I put shaving cream on my boss's telephone earpiece and then called his number. When he answered, I said, ''Swuish!'' He knew right away that it was me and called me into his office. He told me that I can pack my desk and leave. Is there anything I can do? (Don't tell me to stop playing jokes...I know that now).

Re: I was fired

Aside from the obvious, you main concern should be negotiating an appropriate severance package including the references that will be provided to a future prospective employer. If you would like to discuss how I may be of assistance, please email me to arrange for a consultation.
