Fired without proof

I was fired for falsifying documents of one of my employees. I was not the only one with a key to my office which held employee's files. I did not do this. The employee with the key to my office, Did have a grudge against me.I was Fired without proof, its not my handwriting.HELP

There are many questions that need to be answered before a firm opinion can be given. For example, were you given the right to defend yourself against these charges? What happened to the other employee? Were there other problems you experienced on the job? Why do you think you were fired? How many employees does the company have? Is there an employee manual and does it contain a method to contest a grievance against another employee? Were you given severance and if so, did you sign a release? Answers to these questions (and more) will help in determining what rights you have in this regard, if any.

While generally an employee can be fired for any reason, if there is discriminatory conduct, you may have a claim under federal or state law.
