does this break and labor laws?possibility it may be age discrimination

Unless you have a contract term with your employer, New York is an employment-at-will state which allows your employer to fire you with or without cause and it allows an employee to quit for any reason.

There are exceptions, of course, and one is age discrimination. If you feel you have a case for age discrimination, I suggest you contact an employment law attorney immediately for consultation.
