Government work

I have heard that it is illegal to work for the federal government for free. It that true? If so, what statute prohibits it?

Re: Government work

it is not illegal to volunteer. It is illegal for the government not to pay you if you are not a volunteer.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
