Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
Harassment
I am a PT Supervisor at a company. My job is Data Management for hundreds of packages a night and I am typing constantly. I recieved treatment for tendoinidis of my right wrist and it was cleared with human resources and the workers comp manager for my company. However, I recived a phone call from an irate manager at 1:43am leaving a threatening message, then again at 8:31 am, and again at 12:00pm complaining about workers compensation paperwork on his desk. All messages were of an extreme threatening nature. I was on my days off and he was well aware of this. (And I work nights and was hoping to get a normal sleep in on my days off.) When I called my manager back his cell phone was off. Earlier the cell phone that he had threaten I call ''not later, you need to call it now'' on his messages left. This clearly was not an urgent matter. When he called me 16 hours later he was screaming at me and call me a ''f@@@@@@ c****''. I could not believe it. He then hung up on me. I have reported him to the Regional Human Resouces manger but she says that she ''wishes she could belive me'' but there is no evidence. I have phone records and a recording of my phone call to him after what he had called me. No one at UPS has done anything. WhatcanIdo?

Re: Harassment
You can file a complaint with the Division of Human Rights, Dept of Labor,
and possibly the workers compensation Board. If they fire you after a complaint it would be retaliation.
