Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
Hello,
I was recently fired from my last job. The small company I worked for still owes me a few thousand dollars (paid hourly wages + commission). After several attempts, they have still been unresponsive and have been delaying any formal response by transferring the issue to another person.
Is there any legal action I can take against them? What would be the estimate cost of such a litigation? How much could I sue them for?

You can begin by filing a claim for benefits with the unemployment division of the NYS Dept. of Labor through their website; then file for unpaid wages with the Wage and Hour Division of same. Good luck.
