If you do not get hired from an employer do you have the right to request the reason??
By law do they Have to give one??
Is it legal to not get hired based on social networking sites such as "Facebook" or "Myspace", etc. because of your personal information, or appearance or views?

Yes, you can ask a potential employer the reason why you were not offered a position, however, they are not legally obligated to give a response. Yes, there is nothing illegal -generally speaking- for refusing to hire someone based on their social networking site posting. There may be some exceptions. For example, it would be illegal for the government to refuse to hire some because he/she has a social networking posting based on sincere belief in the Christian Holy Trilogy. However, it is very unlikely that an employer will disclose the specific reason for refusing to hire based on such a posting.
