Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
I was considering hiring a "virtual assistant" possibly from another state or even another country using one of the popular web companies such as elance.com. Am I required to follow my state law rules governing employees for this kind of engagement? What about minimum hourly wages and maximum work times? Thank you.
