I was hurt at work

I was hurt at wor i cut my finger to the bone requring sugery and i was out for 5 months and i got clearance to return to work for light duty now after only 3 weeks my boss tells me i either have to come back full time this week of i need to find a new job i am still injured and collecting some comp. but he is telling me to forget the doctors orders and return as full time of look some where else is this legal or not please help me????

In general, an employer must reasonably accommodate an employee who is disabled, as long as it is not an undue hardship for the employer.
