Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
i have just been laid off from my job for lack of work. I will not be able to continue to pay my rent and will probably need to leave the state and move in with relatives. I currently live in NY. Will I still be able to claim unemployment if I am forced to leave the state?

You are absolutely able to still apply for NY unemployment even living in another state. There is no requirement for residency.
