Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Do I need a lawyer to file a misclassification of employment claim? They classify us as independent employees, when really the relationship is as an employee of the company

While I would tend to agree with the prior answer, I also think it depends on your situation. Most often in such situations I do not believe the State or Federal Departments of Labor do a very good job for the worker. But sometimes they do an OK job so you do not have to get a private lawyer.
