Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
If you left a company years ago and signed a letter which gave you $5000 not to sue them and neither parties were to talk about the reason for your departure without that party paying the other for the beach in the agreement. The question is if you found out today the reason why you haven't found a good and/or equivalent job inside your field is because the party beached, asap to keep you from taking clients with you by blocking you from getting employment in your field. Basically black listing you in the business. Can you sue them now, although it has been more then five years?

New York has a six-year statute of limitations in which to sue on a contract. You should see an attorney ASAP.
