Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
i live in ny and got hurt at work. while i was waiting for help i sat down. my supervisor came up to me and instead of asking how i was doing he said i was sleeping and fired me and told me to go to the hospital on my own. is he allowed to do that?

If you have any supporting evidence that you hurt yourself (eyewitnesses, etc.), then you may have a case. But if your boss found you sitting down immediately following your injury, and fired you based on his reasonable belief that you were taking an unauthorized break, then it may not be worth pursuing. Your case may hinge on your the nature and extent of your injuries.
