Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
In NYS, what is the legal obligation of an employer to pay back wages, vacation, etc (as specified in an employment contract) when an employee is terminated without cause? e.g., Because of company financial "problems" wages were not paid for the month prior to termination. The company did not/has not filed for Chapter 11 or 7.)
