Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Pension

My father worked in the Carpenter's Union for just under 20 years before he died, the Union says he was one hour shy of working his twentieth year and becoming vested...my question is...Is my mother entitled to any of the money he paid toward his pension for those nineteen years or any part of his pension?
