Post resignation publishing

I am resigning from a company. I need to find out about my legal rights in either

[a] publishing data and works from the time I was employed

[b] more importantly, demanding input and my name in any publications related to work done on major products or publications during at least partially during my tenure

It depends on your employment contract and what it says with regard to the rights to intellectual property developed while working for your employer.

If you have such a contract and it is silent on those terms and you did not copyright your work, or otherwise previously publish it with your name on it, your employer may have the right to claim your work as their own, arising from your employment with them. You might want to negotiate something with them ahead of a lawsuit.
