Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I want records I was forced to pay for

Hello and thank you in advace for your time and input.

I recently started a new job as a truck driver. During my orientation I was asked to sign a release form. It stated that if I leave the job within 90 days of less I would have to pay for my Physical, DAC investigation, and Drug screen. I signed not anticipating any trouble however this company is quite terible and I decided to leave within a month.

My question concerning the signed release is, Should I not have the right to recieve the documents I am paying for???

While I realize I agreed to pay if I leave within 90 days, and I have paid the money back, don't I have the right to now own these documents.

Thank you.

Re: I want records I was forced to pay for

You have a valid claim, the question becomes if the company refuses to release the documents to you is it wourth pursing a lawsuit to get a judicial order?

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
