Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
Rights of terminated 22 year employee
July 31st I arrived home from a three week vacation to find a termination letter stating that as of August 1, my employment had been terminated and that I was not to return to the office. The letter stated ''additonal incidents of inappropriate office conduct.''
I've tried through employee relations to find out what these additional incidents were, but haven't received any answers--am I not entitled to know what these conducts were?
Was I not entitled to severance package after 22 years?

Not without a contract that provides one.
