Seperation Agreement Contracts

An employee of a large international Bank has been in the Bank's employ for 18 years.

During this period, the employee has constantly received outstanding appraisals, salary increases and promotions.

The employee is 49 years old, and a homosexual. The employee works for the Bank in New York City, which has an anti-discrimination based on sexual orientation law in effect.

The employee has been promoted to a new department. The manager of the employee has met with, and has been told by the employee that he is a homosexual.

After 6 months the employee's manager has decided to evaluate the employee. However,the Bank's policy is to give quarterly reviews with an annual rating.

The employer has decided to downsize a particular department within its business.

The employee and employer agree to a seperation agreement.

The employer has prepared a seperation agreement, which it is administering to all eligible employees.

Yes? AND? What is the question?

As Founding General Counsel of the Gay Activists Alliance I am familiar with the problem of discrimination against gays, and was one of the people who helped the NYC Human Rights Commission implement its new powers when it got jurisdiction over sexual orientation. But where is the discrimination here????
