Re: State Police Investigation

You asked about rights when speaking with police.

There is a hard and fast rule about speaking with police: DON'T.

No if, and or but. A person should never, ever, ever, ever speak with the police. If your brother becomes a cop: no more conversations. Pedriod. No smart ass answers. No nothing.

If you sneeze and a police office says "god bless you" or "gesundheit" then ignore him/her. If the police officer asks "Do you know why I pulled you over? Don't speak. There is nothing you can say that will help the situation and much that you can do that will hurt it. Just because you think you haven't done anything doesn't mean that you can't get yourself in trouble.

DON'T TALK TO THE POLICE, EVER. It doesn't matter why they are speaking with you, but never speak with police or anyone with police powers.

Regards,

Roger
