Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
The teachers in the private NY school in which I work have been working without a contract for the past year. We have a union and are currently in negotiations. Once the contract is settled and raises are agreed upon, are our employers obligated to give us retroactive pay raises?
Thanks for your help.

If retroactive salary increases are not a part of the new contract then your employer will be not be obligated to give such a salary increase.
