Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
I was terminated from my job for a false accusation of sexual harassment. I was never contacted by anyone in my company to take a statement from me. I did not even know about this until the day I was fired. When I finally contacted Human Resourses, I was told he did not want to hear anything I had to say and this was being placed in my permanant records. The company contested my unemployment, but unemployment ruled in my favor. The arbitrator said my rights were violated and I did not sexually harass anyone based on NYS Laws governing Sexual Harassment. Do I have a lawsuit based on Wrongful Termination. Thank you
