Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
I was terminated without cause in New York. I have an old simpler employment contract that states amongst other things that I will be paid 2 weeks salary on termination if its without cause. They gave me a new much more complicated waver to sign and as incentive they offer 2 weeks pay. I have 21 days to decide to sign, do I have to sign this new much waver to get my two week or do they owe me the two weeks money based on the fact I am terminated and I have the 2 year old employment contract. I think I am due the money without having to be forced to sign every right away again.

Without seeing the documents, and based on what you tell me, it appears that you are due the 2 weeks pay without signing any new agreement (unless the old agreement specifies that you must sign a new one to collect the money). I strongly suggest you have a lawyer review the old agreement.
