Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
termination and bonus checks
I was terminated on Dec14th, with no proir verbal or written warning. Bonus checks were due on Dec 15th. The bonus checks are based on how the company profited over the past year. Seeing that I was there helping them turn a profit for 11.5 months, am I due any of this bonus?

Re: termination and bonus checks
You should definitely be entitled to your bonus check, simply as a matter of fairness and equity.
You may also be entitled to other benefits, in addition to continuation of your health benefits under COBRA, including but not limited to cash, bonuses, accrued vacation pay, severance pay, outplacement services, attorney fees, and a mutually agreeable separation letter that provides glowing praise for your work and ensures that a positive reference will always be forthcoming.
