Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
What type of jurisdiction would the court have over the defendant if I am suing the company I work for for employee discrimination? I worked at their office in NY, and the banking firm is incorporated in Delaware with a main place of business in San Francisco

As my colleague observes, there would be jurisdiction in New York. This is so because the company is obviously doing business in New York. I would expect that it is also registered to do business in New York.
Make sure that if you want to sue for employment discrimination that you have filed appropriate charges with the EEOC or a state counterpart.
