Unemployment benefits and non-compete agreements

Hello:

I wanted to know if I can get unemployment benefits if I leave my company willfully if I was forced to sign a non-compete agreement that did not protect me at all. My company has gone in a direction that I do not agree with and would like to leave, but I have a non-compete that I was forced to sign that will make me pay $50,000 should I work with another company that does what we do.

It's rather stressful, and I need to get out of here. Do I have any chance to get unemployment benefits?

I would need more information, but under the circumstances you describe, if you leave volunarily and the reason you leave is that the work is "rather stressful" without anything more, you will probably not be entitled to workers comp benefits.
