unfair termination and denial of benefits

i had a situation with my manager where i slipped and told him i knew about an affair his girlfriend had had(granted his girlfriend was his employee)he took offense. a few days later i had car problems and was unable to report to work one day and was late another, then i got terminated, as per the employee handbook i followed procedures, and informed him well in advance of my situation. after this they also denied me my unemployment benefits, per the compnay i was fired for misconduct.? is there anything that i can do about my situation?????????

Did the Department of Labor deny you unemployment benefits? If so you can appeal their decision and have a hearing. At the hearing you can challenge the basis for termination.
