Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

If a union is out of contract for 3yrs and money was put aside for them in the budget 3yrs ago. Would it be possible to win the interest gained by that money for the union members? And has a union ever fought and or won that money? Thank you for your help.

It is possible but use of the accumulated interest is a subject for collective bargaining. You should develop your negotiating strategy (if you have not already done so) with this as one of the demands. An attorney with experience in negotiating union contracts can assist you in putting this together and presenting a strong case to management. I will be happy to refer you to some highly experienced labor attorneys in your area; feel free to call me.
