Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
unpaid wages
I haven't been paid for a month. It's around $4,000. My employer claims that she had already paid me everything. I started working with her as a freelancer then she offered me a partnership. That time I had another job offer from a big company with benefits but since she offered me a partnership, I decided to work with her. She also offered me with good salary plus commision and bonus.
Since then, she hasn't paid me right and delayed payment. I've only been working with her for about 7 weeks. She deceived me by offering a partnership. I've worked M-F 10-7 and saturdays 12-5. I did work more hours often as she requested.
Please help me what I can do to get paid. Is there any attorney who might be interested in this matter or is it just wise to file complaints against her business at labor office. Please give me a advice.
Thank you.

Re: unpaid wages
Since this is about income for for employment the fastest and cheapest way to handle this is through the Labor Department.
