vacation

if a companies policy is to give two weeks paid vacation after a year of service and after a year and half the employee decided to leave the job and has not taken their vacation but has given notice to the employer is the employee entitled to the money for those two weeks? or would the employee be entitled to the next two weeks off with pay. if the employee is entitled and the employer refuses to take care of the matter is there any recourse

It really depends on company policy and if they allow unused vacation time to carry over to the following year. If you feel they have violated their own policy or the law, you may be waiving your rights if you sign a separation or severance agreement.
