Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Do I have a right to view my employee records from a hospital I was terminated from? I believe there is something in my record holding me back from getting another job. As soon as people say I have to check referrals I don't get any of the jobs. Please don't post my email address or zip code. Thank you!

Try hiring a reference check company (they can be found on-line) to see if they are making any false statements.
