Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Please help!!!

I am one of only two white, amercian, female over the age of 35 that is employed at y job. I feel that I am treated different than anyone else that I work with, in the sense that the tone of voice that is used when I am spoken to, I am the only one that is left to run the store by myself, (everyone else gets help), and then I am ridiculed and yelled at when I can't live up to anyone elses expectations, but anyone else can do as they please and nothing is said or done. Then I am told that I need to have an attitude ajustment.

If this is what is going on, is there anything that I can do. Some of this stuff can be proven & some may not be.

You should document the disparate treatment in writing in your own daily (private) log. If you feel confident in your HR department or management, you may want to make them aware.

If you're thinking about filing a reverse-race discrimination action, you should be aware that generally cases like this don't find much support amongst attorneys, judges, or juries.

It may just be time to move on to a different job or company. Good luck!
