Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I work for a company that is about to be brought out, Jan. 2 I get a letter in the mail saying that the company that is taking us over don't want me, I call our HR dept. and send them the letter that the other company sent me she said that it was a mistake and I have nothing to worry about. yesterday I get another letter saying final notice saying that they are not going to keep me again, and again I call my HR and she tell me that they made another mistake and in the same breath tells me maybe I should look for another job. I want to know is there anything I can do about this, because this is unfair to me and my son being that Im a single father it's hard from me to be at a job knowing that I will not have one by march 1 or before that. Need help.

If you are terminated or believe that you will be, now is the time to speak with a severance attorney to attempt to maximize your benefits.

For most people, a severance package is one of the three largest financial transactions that may occur in your life (buying a home and divorce are the others). You don't want to miss out on an opportunity to secure financial and health benefits for you and your family.

I am available if you need further assistance on this matter. You can review my website SeveranceAttorney.com for additional information.

Good luck!
