Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
I've worked for UPS for many years, and as a result have had surgery on my back. Just recently I had to have another back surgery, but this time I can not continue to work. UPS wants to pay me a certain one time sum, and then lay me off without any type of benefits. Shouldn't I have some type of long-term disability benefits that they must provide me with? Are they trying to rip me off or is that just how it is? Thanks.

Get a Labor Lawyer, esp since we d/k how this is going to go in the long run. Can contact me and I can send you to a really good one taking on, believe it or not, the non-gov equiv of UPS in terms of size.
