Wrongful Termanation

Went to work today and the corp.manager asked if he could have a word with me he said that the new general manager was bringing in his own ''team'' so i would no longer have a posision he aked for my keys said that he would give me a letter of recomendation and good buy. Is this wrongful termanation?

Not unless there are other factors that you're leaving out? Did you have a contract? Are you a member of a union? Did the Employer violate standard in-house termination procedures? Was there a discriminatory motive? Was the firing retaliatory?

No. Did you have a contract specifying "term" of employment?

NY is an at will employment state. Absent a contract to the contrary, and without discimination for age, race, religion, disability, gender etc...you can be terminated for any reason.
