Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
Wrongful Termantion
I was working for a compony in Woodbury NY for over a year, when suddenly I had gotten really sick. I was unable to work for some time. The woman I was dealing with at this job gave me some paper work to fill out and return to her so that my job would be keept for me. I did this for her except for the fact that it was not handed in on time. She said this would be just fine. She PROMISED me that everything would be alright, that my job would still be there. Well I was fired. So I tried to take things into my own hands. I set up a meeting with the senior V.P. of this company, all I got from him was a really bad attitude. I am getting nothing done here, I gave him a copy of my dr's records, he wanted every peice of paper I owned from this job, but I would not reveal that to him. He told me he went through my file but yet had nothing on the case. I want to persue action against them. Can you help out with this? Thank You for you time.
