Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I was wrongfully fired by my management

I was fired on Dec 26 2001. I was wrongfully accused and fired by the management. All the proofs are doucumented and I have people who are willing to tesify on behalf of me, with whom I have no relationship at all. They like me for my good character. All the people in that company except the management are telling me to sue the company. I'm willing to do so but I'm looking for a lawyer who take money after we win the case. I'm so confident that we will. I was discriminated against, picked on and accused of stealing which never took place. Wittness are willing to testify that discrimination was done and that it was false accusation. The assistant manager have complaint against him in company's headquarter of being rasict which was done by a customer. I'm not satisfy with what union is doing for me. It is the matter of principle now, I can't let this rasict management do this again to anyone else and get away with it. They have the burden to prove the accusation for which I have wittness and everything is legit and doucumented.

Re: I was wrongfully fired by my management

You have not provided enough details to allow me to answer your question properly. As background, New York State is an at-will employment state which means that you can be fired for any reason, or no reason or a wrong reason UNLESS there is discrimination involved. You use the terms discrimination and racist but have not explained why you feel there was discrimination involved. Obviously, if you were stealing, or your employer truly believed that you were stealing, there is probably no case. However, if the stealing was an excuse for discrimination, then you may have a case.

If you wish to discuss your case in more detail you may reach me at (914) 949-6323.
