Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Was I wrongfully terminated

If a person was told by her job that she would be paid three months disability and was given a year to return back to work, But when she tried to report back three months before her year was up she was fired over the phone, and has been told by unemployment that their records show she quit.Is this a case for wrongful termination?

Re: Was I wrongfully terminated

Perhaps, but I would need more facts regarding the terms of the agreement. If you can prove that there was an enforceable employment contract created there may be a case for wrongful termination.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can call my office to schedule an appointment for a consultation or in the alternative, I can be reached for on-phone low-cost legal consultation at 1-800-275-5336 x0233699.
