30 notice
on April 5 2006, my landlord gave my a 30day notcie asking me to vacate the premise by april 30 the letterwas dated march 31,2006. i found a place but it will not be ready untill may 18. the landlord is not returning any of my calls or not talking to me. the letter stated that she is selling the house. My daughter name wasn't on the letter nor was it singed or notarized. is this legal? what rights do i have? What hppens next?

If you received an unsigned 30 day notice on April 5th, to vacate by April 30th it is invalid on 2 counts. Not signed and not 30 days notice. (Daughter's name may not need to be on it and doesn't have to be notarized)
Send him a letter stating you intend to vacate by May 18th and do not move out until then, no matter what. By the time the landlord starts an eviction (doubtful), you will be out or you will tell the Judge you will be out on 18th.
Just make sure you secure the place you are moving to for the 18th.
