Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

1st mo rent & security refund

I could not move into an apartment by 12/1 and am still trying to get my money back. Aside from calling constantly and being promised a refund, I don't know what else to do. I have recordings of all the promises and just need to know where to go from here. Thank you

Small claims might be your best bet at this point. If you do plan to take action, make sure you keep your lease and any other documentation dealing with the apartment in question on hand.
